Casper at Martha's Vineyard Airport
Casper is thrilled to welcome our newest U.S. client, Martha’s Vineyard Airport (MVY) to the Casper family! As of June 2025, MVY joined Casper as part of their commitment to their community by expanding and enhancing their noise program.
Martha's Vineyard, often simply called the Vineyard, is an island in the U.S. state of Massachusetts, lying just south of Cape Cod. It is known for being a popular, affluent summer colony, and includes the smaller peninsula Chappaquiddick Island. It is the 58th largest island in the U.S., with a land area of about 96 square miles (250 km2) You can only reach it by Air or using a Ferry.
Due to its beauty, charming small towns and well-renowned beaches, Martha’s Vineyard is an exceedingly popular tourist destination.
With this popularity, however, comes new challenges, including managing the impact of aircraft noise on surrounding residential areas, especially during the summer months, the peak season for Tourists. As the Islands population and especially tourism continues to rise, addressing noise concerns is a key priority for both airport officials and the community.
To support these efforts, Martha’s Vineyard Airport is implementing the Casper GO! NOMS system, which includes our state-of-the-art Public Flight Tracker. This innovative technology will empower community members by providing real-time flight tracking and a streamlined platform for submitting noise complaints, fostering greater transparency and engagement. To support the effort Casper built MVY a state of the Art solar powered, portable Noise Monitor which was hand delivered by Ferry by our US Airport Solutions Specialist-Zachary Miller.
The addition of the Casper system was spearheaded by Geoffrey Freeman, Airport Director, whose goal is to make a difference in the community relations and day-to-day efficiency.
