Lyon-Saint Éxupéry Airport launches Casper Noise Monitoring, Flight Tracking and Complaint Management
We are very pleased to report that after a successful partnership Lyon-Saint Éxupéry Airport (LYS) has officially started operating five Casper Noise Monitors in combination with our software suite. Casper Noise is used for radar track and airport noise analysis and a public Flight Tracking application coupled to a complaint registration and management portal are also made available to the community using Casper’s tailored solution.
Working conjointly with the airport, Casper replaced the five fixed Noise Monitor Terminals in the vicinity of the airport. Three of the locations benefited from upgraded components while reusing most of the poles and cabinets and two brand new Casper Noise Monitoring Terminals were installed at the remaining locations.
Using radar feeds provided by the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile (DGAC), the French air navigation service provider and other sources, Casper Noise in turn offers unique data processing and visualization for Lyon Airports staff but also for the public on the separate Flight Tracking website https://lys.flighttracking.casper.aero/.
From the Flight Tracking application, the public is also able to file a question or a complaint via Casper's new complaint portal https://lys.flighttracking.casper.aero/complaint/ which has been custom-fitted to the requirements of the airport. The registration system allows public users to track the status of their requests while helping Lyon Airports staff to better monitor the responses and inform the public. A perfect approach to enhance the relationship with the communities.
