Casper wins DAL contract

On January 23rd, after a competitive RFP selection process, the City of Dallas signed a contract with Casper to provide Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas Executive Airport (RBD) with a complete replacement of the city’s existing Flight Information Tracking System (FITS).

The City of Dallas becomes Casper’s fifth U.S. customer and the third to be added within the last 12 months. The state-of-the-art Casper solution has been customized to meet the unique needs of the City of Dallas’ Aviation Department and provides DAL with a modern and robust platform built for real-time airport operational and environmental management.

As part of the agreement, the City of Dallas will purchase four new Casper NMTs which will be installed near the runway ends at Dallas Love Field to maximize detection of aircraft noise events.  The city has also chosen to deploy the company’s best in class public Flight Tracker, which will provide residents with the most user-friendly, intuitive and information-rich public flight tracking application available on the market. Casper’s public Flight Tracker is a true mobile application that is compatible with all web-enabled smartphones, tablets, and computers and is fully integrated with Casper Noise.  The simple and intuitive interface allows residents to view flights and better understand flight patterns at both DAL and RBD.  Noise concerns can also be entered using the customized built-in bilingual (English/Spanish) web form, that automatically populates the Complaint Management database.

Casper has previous experience working with multi-airport systems and understands the unique challenges posed by tracking aircraft, monitoring noise and handling complaints at both general aviation and commercial air service airports.

We are excited to welcome Dallas Love Field and Dallas Executive Airport to the Casper family and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with the City of Dallas.
